10 Under-The-Radar Players to Watch in 2022

The 2022 college lacrosse season is less than a week away. The lacrosse world anticipates big seasons from All-Americans such as Chris Gray, Pat Kavanaugh, Logan Wisnauskis, and others.

What about the underclassmen?

Last year’s freshman class did not disappoint. Players like Brennan O’Neill, Owen Hiltz, Connor Schellenberger, TJ Haley, and Eric Dobson solidified their star status. These guys are known commodities, and expectations are sky high in 2022.

The following list highlights ten underclassmen who have flown under the radar. Some of these players include sophomores who didn’t see much playing time last season, Ivy league players who haven’t seen game action since March 2020, and of course, incoming freshmen. I also chose to exclude the top ten incoming freshmen, according to Inside Lacrosse.

10. Chase Mullins, Face-off, North Carolina (Freshman)

The Tar Heels landed far and away the best face off recruit in the class of 2021. The former Maryland verbal flipped to North Carolina in the summer after his junior season. Mullins has elite hand speed and a solid build at 6 foot, 190 pounds. He’s a smart player and can adapt to different techniques and schemes. Mullins will take some pressure off Zac Tucci, and the two should make a dominant one-two punch at the faceoff…
